Akintoye Akindele, CFA is co-founder and Partner of Synergy Managers Mauritius Limited, fund manager for the Synergy Private Equity Fund. LP (SPEF). He has over 17 years’ experience in the financial services sector, including corporate & investment banking, proprietary investments and private equity. He started his career with Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) before joining African Capital Alliance (ACA), one of the leading private equity firms in Nigeria where he managed the IT and Telecoms portfolio. Akintoye has sourced, managed, and exited deals in the IT/Telecoms, business solutions, financial services, midstream oil & gas and real estate sectors. A seasoned strategist and investor Akintoye has a demonstrable track record identifying opportunities in high growth sectors and accessing capital for growth, having advised and raised capital for over 20 companies in multiple industries during his career. Akintoye is a Chemical Engineering graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University and the International School of Management – Paris. He is a CFA Charter-holder and a trustee of the CFA Society of Nigeria.

Ayodele has over 20 years’ experience in corporate and commercial banking, financial advisory and private equity, having worked with FSB International Bank and African Capital Alliance before co-founding Synergy Capital & Advisory Limited. Ayo has successfully sourced, managed and exited investments in the oil & gas, business solutions, real estate, hospitality and financial services sectors. Ayodele has expertise helping investee companies achieve their financial and strategic objectives through a hands-on approach to the execution of business goals. He is a Finance graduate of the University of Lagos and a certified chartered accountant of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant; Ayo is CFA charter holder and a trustee of the CFA Society of Nigeria.

Oluwatosin Odusanya is founder and CEO of Africa Terminaling Company Limited (ATCL), a Terminal and Storage Company providing storage capacity to both local and international multi-country petroleum products trading companies with a vision to becoming the largest independently owned regional Terminal and Storage platform across West Africa. Tosin has over 12 years’ experience in the oil and energy sector stemming from his banking experience as Head, Oil & Gas team of the Bond Bank (Skye Bank PLC) up until co-founding and operating a Trading and Marine Services company focused on the trading of crude and refined hydrocarbons as well as marine support services to companies in the upstream segment of the Oil & Gas Industry. Tosin is a member of the Energy Institute, London and holds a Diploma in International Oil Trade Supply, Refining and Transport from the College of Petroleum Studies, Oxford Princeton Program (UK).
Smitha Bissonauth joined the Corporate Services Department of Intercontinental Trust Limited (“ITL”) in 2006 and she is currently a Manager in the Listing Department. Prior to her appointment as manager in the listing department, she headed various teams in the Corporate Services Department and has been overseeing the operations division such as incorporation of companies, advising on company structures and regulatory matters and corporate administration of global business companies. She currently sits as director in many global business companies that are under the administration of ITL. Smitha has been actively participating in various internal projects at ITL and training of the staffs. She has also acquired full set of technical skills to manage people and service clients and attended several trainings, workshops and conferences in company secretarial matters, in AML/CFT laws and leadership. Smitha graduated from the University of Mauritius with a B.Sc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK. She is currently undertaking an MBA in Innovation and Leadership.
Chief Operating Officer
Kunle started his career in 1995 with ECO Bank in the Credits & Operations department before joining Sahara Energy Group as an Operator in 2000, rising through the ranks to occupy various top positions. In 2005, Kunle was appointed the Deputy Managing Director – Product Trading and Operations for Sahara Trade West Africa which traded in Crude, Middle distillates, condensate, Naphtha, and Fuel Oil and exported Crude, Fuel Oil, Naphtha, Condensate, and imported middle distillates and Base oils into Nigeria, Ghana, and Benin Republic. In 2007 he was appointed Acting Managing Director for Sahara Energy Resource (Nig) Ltd, and in 2009, he was appointed the Managing Director of Sahara Energy International PTE Ltd. Singapore, with a mandate to promote a first class trading company in Asia. After a successful period of fifteen (15) months serving in Singapore, Kunle returned to Nigeria where he joined Optima Energy Resources Ltd. as the Trading Director in April 2010 to expand it’s downstream business in Nigeria. Kunle holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
